The Coffee Story

The story of coffee begins in the ancient coffee forests of Ethiopia, where legend tells of a goat herder named Kaldi who noticed his goats becoming unusually energetic after eating the red berries of a certain shrub. While the tale remains unverified, historical records suggest that coffee was first brewed in Yemen during the 15th century. Early coffee drinkers roasted and ground the beans before steeping them in hot water, creating a rich, stimulating beverage that quickly became popular throughout the Arabian Peninsula.
